Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. This recipe is versatile and pairs well with a variety of side dishes.

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, dried basil, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes.

  2. 2

Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over them. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, up to 12 hours.

  3. 3

Preheat grill to medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade and discard marinade.

  4. 4

Grill chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and juices run clear.

  5. 5

Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
